TigerLogger Quick Start

This guide walks you through bringing your first device online with the TigerLogger edge data gateway.

1. Prepare the Gateway​

  • Check the power supply matches the rated input range in the hardware manual
  • Mount the gateway close to the data source to keep serial runs short
  • Confirm the SIM or Ethernet uplink is active before powering on

2. Create a Site in the Platform​

  1. Log in to the cloud platform and open Sites > Add Site
  2. Enter the site name, location, and timezone
  3. Note the site key returned after saving

3. Configure Device Access​

TigerLogger supports common industrial protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP and IEC 60870-5-104.

  1. Open the gateway admin page
  2. Bind the gateway to your site key
  3. Add a device template, then map register points to signal names
  4. Save and deploy the configuration to the gateway

4. Verify Data Flow​

Within one polling cycle, live values should appear on the site dashboard. If not:

  • Check the alarm panel for connection errors
  • Confirm register addresses against the device manual
  • Use the built-in point debugging tool to inspect raw frames
